EXPLORE BADGE SERIES
The goal here was to capture the spirit of the great outdoors with this series of badges inspired by a recent road trip and America's iconic parks. Each badge in the collection features a unique design that captures the essence of getting outside to adventure and explore. From towering trees to serene alpine lakes, blazing campfires to hiking trails, these badges blend vintage aesthetics with modern flair, perfect for adventurers, scouts and nature lovers. Crafted with vibrant colors and detailed illustrations, each badge can be produced into a print, patch, badge or sticker. Whether sewn on a backpack, displayed on a jacket, or slapped on a water bottle, these are meant to inspire and pay tribute to the beauty all around us.
These were my refined sketches when I started this project. While I like the initial pencil drawings, I wondered how to best exemplify the shading in the final product.
I decided to use an ombre gradient to best get the effect I had done in the primary sketches.
In addition to patches and badges, I also think these designs would lend themselves to individual prints that could be framed in a cabin or work space.
